Ribarska Banja SpaRibarska Banja, oases of fresh mountain air, healthy food, and healing springs, is situated at 540 m altitude on the slopes of Veliki Jastrebac Mountain, sheltered from the winds and swift temperature changes. It is in a vicinity of Krusevac, only 34 km away. Archaeological findings prove that this was a health resort during the Roman era and in Middle Ages. Although many rulers used the healing benefits of Ribarska Banja, king Petar I Karadjordjevic was considered to be the most faithful visitor of the spa.

By the decree of Prince Milos of 1834, the first water analyses were conducted in the laboratories of Vienna School of Medicine. Ribarska Banja was acknowledged as a place of mineral and hot springs with water temperature ranging from 38 to 42 degrees. Today, the spa is well known for its Special Hospital for orthopaedic, bone and marrow and degenerative diseases treatments. This health institution is equipped with latest devices and apparatuses for application of all forms and methods of health treatments in domain of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
